Carbon offsetting: the Provence Wine Council commits to AIR PROVENCE
Aware that climat change remains one of the biggest challenge facing the wine industry, we have comitted this year to voluntarily offset the carbon footprint of our staff and partners involved in the organisation of AIR PROVENCE 2020. We have teamed up with the young company Avvena to offset 45 tonnes of CO2-eq that will contribute to the support of a rainforest preservation project in the Brazilian Amazon, providing numerous additional social and environmental benefits. A very first step in the long term process of building a sustainable, low carbon strategy for the Provence vineyard.
